PRICES

I can usually guarantee that my prices will be set as they are on my website. However, on the odd occasion, I may need to alter the price in order to fit your specification, i.e. two portraits within one.

I also offer page borders which will be added at your expense and are highly recommended! They complete to the overall finish. It is easier to add them to your order through me as it makes framing easier for you.

ORDERING

Please contact me via any social media, email, or text message (all available on website). From this, I can provide you with a quote depending on requirements.

We will then discuss which photograph is best suited for your portrait. They MUST be good/ high quality.

I have a guide on how to get the perfect photograph at the bottom of this page.

I will then ask for a 25% deposit, with the rest of the cost to be settled once I have confirmed you are happy with your portrait.

We can discuss how to get the portrait to you as well. I am happy to post locally and ship worldwide at customer's expense. However, I am also willing to drop off if you are in my local Taunton area. Pick-ups are also welcome!

HOW TO POSITION YOUR HORSE

The better the photo, the better the portrait...

1) GROOMING

Groom your horse. Please make them as presentable as possible! I am more than happy to tidy up manes/ remove scars within the portrait, but a well turned out horse as a reference makes a world of difference.

2) SHADOWS & POSITIONING

Position the horse so you have a clear view of their face. Be mindful of shadows, so make sure they have light hitting the correct parts of their face, i.e. light on front with shadow falling behind features. (it makes a HUGE difference!)

3) EARS

Get their ears to prick forwards! Give them something to show interest in. I'm sure everyone has had someone stood behind the camera dancing around to get that perfect look of alertness... shake a bucket, wave some grass, jump up and down. We want the horse to turns their head to look! Try a few slightly different angles.

4) TACK

It is totally up to you whether you would like the horse wearing tack. Bridles are pretty self-explanatory, but if you would prefer without, please just slip the headcollar down their neck.
